The BioAPI Consortium is a group of over 120 organizations that have a common interest in promoting the growth of the biometrics market through standardization. The Consortium has developed a specification for a standardized Application Programming Interface (API) that is compatible with a wide range of biometric applications programs and a broad spectrum of biometrics technologies.
