Scott Robinson II

Scott Robinson II is the digital communications manager at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek, Mich.

In this role, he manages a wide range of integrated digital marketing and communications strategies supporting the delivery of messages to the foundation’s priority audiences.  He partners with the communications team to identify, develop and execute communications tactics via the foundation’s website, intranet, microsites, email campaigns, mobile and social media channels. He collaborates with staff in the technology department and programming areas to provide information about the foundation and its funding interests to audiences which include grantees, grantseekers, policymakers, community leaders, other funders, the media and the general public.

Robinson has strong technical and professional skills which include web design and development, online advertising, email marketing, user experience, content management system implementation and digital project management.  He has demonstrated the ability to identify and implement digital marketing and communications techniques, successfully manage external consultants and vendors and effectively interact with persons from diverse cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds.

As owner of DMP Productions, Robinson provides strategic digital services and publishing solutions for a diverse array of clients. From 1999 to 2006, DMP Productions developed various promotions and events supporting the marketing and launch efforts of music artists for EMI Music, Virgin and Capital Records. In 2005, the company launched a print and online lifestyle and entertainment publication, DMP ACCESS College Magazine. The magazine offered college students an opportunity to gain experience in the fields of journalism, photography, communications and advertising, helping to make them more competitive in the job market. In 2007, DMP Productions began producing the award show websites for the Carolina Music Awards and Georgia Music Awards providing a streamlined online experience for fans, musicians and the award show organizers.

 

Prior to joining the foundation, Robinson was webmaster/IT support specialist at the Chicago Bears Football Club in Lake Forest, Ill. There, his responsibilities included managing the organization’s website ChicagoBears.com, SharePoint intranet sites, mobile website, custom fan desktop application and working to increase fan engagement though various online efforts including campaigns for Super Bowl XLI, multiple NFL Draft Days, training camp and other team efforts. Previously, Robinson was digital communications specialist at the Kalamazoo Regional Chamber of Commerce, Kalamazoo, Mich, where he designed and managed the organization’s monthly Enterprise Online publication and held responsibility for managing website content and in-house graphic design[ for both the Chamber and the Kalamazoo County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Robinson holds a bachelor of business administration degree, majoring in advertising and promotions from Western Michigan University and a graduate certificate in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University. During his WMU graduation ceremony, Robinson was recognized for the entrepreneurial impact he made on the student body through the digital and video efforts of DMP Productions during his time in school.
