Shawn has enjoyed the past 15 years with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in roles ranging from Engineering, Live Show Design, Safety & Advanced Technology, and Worldwide Standards and Auditing. Currently Shawn leads an Innovation team focused on new technology development supporting auditing, compliance, safety, and business process change. In addition, he supports new technologies related to Disney’s Guests With Disabilities which enable guests to enjoy experiences with their families. A SharePoint evangelist within the company, he was involved with the initial rollout of SharePoint in 2004 and has helped to develop it to its current state in Disney’s environment. Part of his daily role includes evaluation and development of unique solutions to support the broad requirements of his 151,000 internal clients. For the past two years, his focus has been on the “creative mobile space”, with solutions enabling his clients to collaborate in a global environment across three continents. Shawn has over 27 years of Engineering and Program Management experience in a variety of challenging industries including Pulp and Paper, Petro Chemical, Pharmaceutical / Bio-Technology, Desalination, and Entertainment. He is an avid photographer and for the past three years has coached his sons’ FIRST Lego League Robotics team. Shawn holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.
