Matt Gilbert

Matthew is currently the National Creative Director at Bayard Advertising. His work spans many disciplines ranging from brand strategy and integrated marketing to talent branding and recruitment advertising. His role includes overseeing brand and creative strategy development where imagination and innovation are paramount in helping clients create a clear and compelling voice.

His work has won numerous creative awards in B2C, B2B and B2E markets. He has developed a children’s book titled, Tangerines and Tea, published by Abrams publishers, and has written numerous essays and articles on creative strategy. He is also an accomplished artist showcasing his work in private and public galleries in New York City. He has written two novels and one screenplay. Several of his pro-bono design projects are in permanent collections at Columbia University and Citicorp, among many others.

He holds a BS in Economics and Marketing from NYU’s Stern School of Business, where he graduated with many distinctions and earned his MFA in Design from the School of Visual Art’s MFA Design program. Matt was nominated to be the program’s first commencement speaker. His work and innovative strategy has been described as nothing short of transformational.
