Kristl Buluran

Kristl Buluran is a communications manager in Brand Communications at Kaiser Permanente, one of America’s leading integrated health care providers and non-profit health plans. Kaiser Permanente serves more than 9.3 million members in eight states and the District of Columbia.

In her role, Kristl manages the strategy, planning, and tactical execution of communications programs for Healthy Workforce initiatives and programs targeted primarily to Kaiser Permanente’s 175,000 employees. She joined the organization in May 2014.

Kristl has over 15 years of experience in the field of workforce wellness, in both program planning and communications. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Kristl held a position as a Worksite Wellness Specialist with Health*Matters, UC Berkeley’s health promotion program for faculty and staff. She also served as an intern with the National Cancer Institute’s Office of Health Communications, working on a national campaign to promote mammography screening for the early detection of breast cancer.

Kristl received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UCLA, English and American Studies, then with the School of Public Health, with a focus on community health and social marketing. In addition to her academic background, Kristl is also a certified fitness specialist with ACSM and a USATF Level 1 Coach.
