Jeffrey Jones

Mr. Jones serves in the Security Directorate as the Branch Chief, Physical and Industrial Security, Department of Navy, Office of Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy, Plans Policy Operations and Integration (PPOI). In this capacity, he leads a team responsible for the physical & industrial security, critical infrastructure and identity management/biometrics.

Before assuming his current position, Mr. Jones served as the Director, Infrastructure Protection and Security and the Navy Physical Security Equipment Action Group (PSEAG) Chair for the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Energy, Installations & Environment (E, I&E), Pentagon. In the position, he served as the DoN program area expert to the PDASN EI&E and the principal advisor to major elements of the DoN for the purpose of mission assurance and infrastructure security analysis. He provides continuing advice to the ASN (EI&E) on any actions necessary to provide base and other infrastructure support as well as business transformation strategies, to all Navy and Marine Corps elements. He also previously served as the Command Security Director, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia where he was responsible for the security support of many NSWC facilities.

He retired from the United States Air Force Security Forces in 2003. He served in a variety of command, strategic planning and security management & assessment positions. His experience involved him leading, preparing and coordinating complex force protection, public safety and asset protection programs; domestically and internationally.

Mr. Jones holds a M.A. in Security Management from Webster University. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Phoenix. He holds advanced certificates in Project Management and a DoD Identity Management Certificate, Naval Postgraduate School.
