Ira Fuchs

Ira Fuchs is presently a SharePoint Technical Specialist working out of the Microsoft New York district office. For nearly five years he has assisted some of Microsoft’s largest customers deploy and exploit the features and capabilities of the SharePoint platform. He is the author of two books on SharePoint: “Enterprise Application Development in SharePoint 2010 – Creating an End-to-End Application without Code” and “SharePoint Cheap Thrills”.

He has also written TechNet white papers (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff645393.aspx) and frequently speaks and runs workshops at SharePoint events. Mr. Fuchs is SharePoint MCTS certified. He has over 35 years of experience in computer technology and highly conversant with paradigm shifts. In the early 70s he punched JCL cards for IBM 360/40 mainframes. In 1979 he bought one of the first Data General Nova Eclipse mini-computers. In 1981 he started a systems integration company that was the very first reseller of AutoCad. In 1987 he started one of the first desktop publishing and pre-press service bureaus in the United States.
