Gail Berrigan

Gail has worked in digital media and communications for close to 20 years, managing online brand marketing campaigns for global publishing and entertainment companies including Scholastic, ABC/Disney and PBS, and leading teams in the planning, design and development of numerous company and campaign-specific websites.

She is currently Director, Organizational Communications for The Humane Society of the United States (The HSUS), where she oversees internal communications and enterprise social networking to help employees work more effectively and cohesively in a virtual, increasingly global environment. The HSUS is the nation’s largest animal protection organization, with a global professional staff of more than 700 people dedicated to advancing animal welfare though direct rescue and care, public policy, grassroots advocacy, corporate campaigns, media relations, education, and more.

Gail is currently a student in Georgetown University’s Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership professional studies program. She has presented previously on: Mirroring Success: Aligning Your Internal and External Communications; Metrics That Matter: Calculating the Value of Your Intranet; and Facilitating Culture Change.

Factoids: I have two wonderful dogs named Jaeger and Trixie, both born in the southwest; I was born in Boston (but left before I caught the accent); Like my dogs, I spent a couple of years living in the southwest; I’ve hiked the Wave and camped out in the Grand Canyon. My husband and I bought our wedding rings on Etsy.
